Founded in 2012, Sunstone is a privately-held operator, developer, and fund manager of multifamily real estate assets. Headquartered in Southern California, Sunstone creates efficient, secure, and quality apartments for working-class individuals and families located in affordable communities in the Sunbelt and Mountain States.

Why Multifamily:

Multifamily assets provide a place to live for many US households, a priority even when economic circumstances put pressure on discretionary spending habits. Current trends have increased demand for rental housing, including changes in lifestyle preferences and decisions to wait longer to start families. The sharp rise in home prices has forced many would-be homebuyers out of the market and multifamily rentals reap a significant share of this increasing demand. Unlike other real estate asset classes, revenue risk is spread over many tenants and is not dependent on the performance of a few major tenants.
